Placement Test

Free placement test. Mandatory for students who are not currently enrolled at Instituto Cervantes London and who have previous knowledge of Spanish.

• If you have no knowledge of Spanish, you should not take the placement test and may enrol directly on the A1.1 beginner course.
• If you have studied Spanish before, but not at Instituto Cervantes London, you must take the placement test before enrolling on a course.

The placement test consists of a written multiple-choice test and a 15-minute oral assessment, conducted online via Zoom.

Before booking your 15-minute oral assessment, please follow these steps:

Complete the written part of the placement test using this questionnaire.
You will then receive an email proposing a date and time for your 15-minute oral assessment, together with a Zoom link.
If the proposed time is not convenient, you may arrange an alternative by contacting cenlon@cervantes.es , subject to availability.

Children aged 7 to 12 only take the oral assessment, which lasts up to 15 minutes.
