Placement test

No placement test is required for enrollment in an introductory course (A1.1). 

• In all other cases, the test is mandatory, unless the student has previously attended an Instituto Cervantes course and completed it within the four months prior to the enrollment request (for levels A1–B1) or within the six months prior to the request (for levels B2–C2).
• The placement test fee is INR 1,000. If the placement test leads to enrollment in a general Spanish course at our center within three months of the test fee payment, the amount paid for the test will be deducted from the course fee.
• Registration for the placement test must be completed at least two days before the test date.
• The administrative validity of the placement test (eligibility for the price reduction on a subsequent general course enrollment) is three months from the date of payment, NOT from the date the test is taken.
• Academic validity depends on the level achieved in the test: 4 months for levels A1, A2, and B1; and 6 months for levels B2, C1, and C2, calculated from the date the test was taken.
• Placement test results are final; they do not constitute an official certification and are for internal use only.
• Students who have failed a course may not take a placement test until three months after the course has ended.
