Departments
Irish university-level Hispanic Studies are organised around a network of Spanish departments at the country’s leading universities. These departments are actively engaged in teaching and research across a wide range of fields, including the Spanish language, literature, cultural studies, translation, linguistics, and relations between Ireland and the Hispanic world.
The main Spanish departments in the Republic of Ireland are based at the country’s most prestigious universities. Instituto Cervantes Dublin maintains close working relationships with these departments, focusing on the development and updating of Spanish language teaching methodologies, collaborative research projects, and jointly organised cultural activities.
