Customized Spanish Courses
Private Spanish Lessons
The Instituto Cervantes offers high-quality instruction through private Spanish lessons. The lessons are tailored to each student's specific needs and can take place at the Instituto Cervantes, at home, or at the office, as long as they are within the New York metropolitan area.
Classes can be one-on-one or in pairs. Private lessons are offered at all levels. The class schedule must be set up before the start of the course.

Requirements for private classes at the Instituto Cervantes or online (via videoconference)
A minimum of 10 hours must be purchased.
Each session must last at least one hour.
There are no refunds or cancellations for courses.
Payment must be made before the start of the first session.
To reschedule a class, you must notify the instructor at least 48 hours in advance.
The total duration of all rescheduled sessions cannot exceed 50% of the course’s scheduled duration.
If the course is for two people, the students must be at the same level.
All purchased hours must be completed within 3 months of the first scheduled class day.

Requirements for private lessons outside the Instituto Cervantes
A minimum of 10 hours must be purchased.
Each session must last at least 90 minutes.
There are no refunds or cancellations for courses.
Payment must be made before the start of the first session.

The Instituto Cervantes offers these private lessons in Manhattan (up to 150th Street) and in Downtown Brooklyn. (There is an additional transportation fee for classes outside these areas).
Price: $165 per hour.

- OUR METHODOLOGY: Our practice-based learning methodology consists of content- and project-based classes structured around a task, where students prepare and perform primarily through speaking and writing. - From day one, students are encouraged to actively use the language and interact with others. Grammar is used to reinforce students’ language skills, allowing them to practice both fluency and accuracy.

- BENEFITS: Students in the Corporate Program receive a free individual membership to the Instituto Cervantes, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in all our cultural programming, with access to our library—one of the largest Hispanic collections in New York City—and free access to our AVE Global online learning platform.
- OUR RATES: Prices are scaled based on the size and duration of the course. Our general Spanish course for businesses consists of a minimum of 30 hours, typically spread out over 2 hours per week; alternatively, we can design a specific curriculum tailored to your needs and availability.
