Join the international network of DELE centers

DELE exams are administered exclusively through the network of exam centers recognized by the Instituto Cervantes. Only these centers are authorized to administer the exams leading to the DELE certificates—the official Spanish language certifications issued by Spain’s Ministry of Education,

Vocational Training, and Sports, developed and administered on its behalf by the Instituto Cervantes.
Being part of this network allows educational centers and institutions to offer the opportunity to take the DELE exams and contribute to the promotion and certification of Spanish on an international scale.

Currently, the network of DELE exam centers includes more than 1,300 centers in 120 countries, where approximately 150,000 candidates take the exams each year.

What are the responsibilities of being a DELE test center?

Being a DELE test center means being part of the network of centers recognized by the Instituto Cervantes to administer DELE exams and assuming a series of responsibilities related to the organization, management, and promotion of test sessions.

DELE test centers are responsible for managing and organizing the logistical and administrative aspects of the test sessions in which they participate, as well as promoting the exams among potential candidates.

In addition, the centers provide guidance to students and must provide information on:

  • The most appropriate DELE exam based on the candidate’s level of Spanish.
  • The free DELE preparation materials developed by the Instituto Cervantes.
  • The DELE preparation courses offered by the exam center itself or by the Instituto Cervantes.

DELE exam centers authorized to administer the exams must comply with the academic and administrative instructions established annually by the Instituto Cervantes for the management and administration of the exams.

However, being a DELE exam center does not imply an obligation to organize all the exam sessions offered by the Instituto Cervantes. In general, and with some exceptions, each center may participate in those exam sessions that align with its needs and schedule.
