Hispanism in melbourne

Instituto Cervantes has among its functions paying special attention to Hispanists, philologists, and teachers of the Spanish language, as they are key mediators in the understanding and dissemination of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. To support them, the Instituto Cervantes carries out a range of projects and initiatives aimed at highlighting the scientific, artistic, and cultural output of the international academic community linked to Hispanic studies worldwide, as well as facilitating the exchange of ideas and communication among these experts.

Instituto Cervantes fulfils this mediating role with Hispanists through activities such as organising the Forums of Hispanism , promoting Hispanic studies in different regions (meetings related to Hispanism around the world), coordinating the editorial production of academic publications, and supporting conferences and associations connected to international Hispanism.

More specifically, the Sydney centre pays particular attention to the needs of Hispanists in Australia and New Zealand.
