The Instituto Cervantes offers general Spanish courses—both online and in-person—designed to develop students' ability to understand, speak, read, and write in Spanish.

Our instructors are qualified native speakers who employ state-of-the-art foreign language teaching methods. Furthermore, to ensure effective instruction, all our teachers engage in ongoing professional development. We offer courses at all levels (from beginner to advanced), and our communicative approach allows students to improve their skills gradually. Each general course consists of 60 hours of instruction. The courses are organized into 6 levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2), in accordance with the  Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Online or in-person: choose the format that best suits you.

Online courses take place in groups of 7–15 students, in a pleasant and stimulating environment, via the Zoom platform.

In-person courses take place in smaller groups.

Discounts Policy

The following general discounts apply: 

• Former students: IC Manila students who have already taken a course during the same academic year or earlier are eligible for a 5% discount when they re-enroll.
• Personal circumstance: people with disabilities, 20%. (EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT)
• Personal circumstance: seniors, 20%. (EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT)
• Discount voucher: university students (UP, Ateneo), 5%.
• Early payment: anyone who enrolls in one of our courses at least 7 days before the course begins is eligible for a 15% discount.

Conditions for the above discounts: 
A former student is defined as anyone who has ever enrolled in a general or special course at the Instituto Cervantes in Manila and who re-enrolls in any of the general courses. 

All these discounts are combinable up to a maximum of 20%. It is each student’s responsibility to request the discounts at the time of registration. Once registration has been processed, no discounts may be applied.

We also offer specific courses for children and adolescents.
