Instituto Cervantes is the only center of its kind officially created and accredited by the Government of Spain. It is the largest organization in the world dedicated to teaching Spanish and is present in more than 100 cities across 52 countries.

We offer Spanish classes at an affordable price, as well as courses for specific purposes such as DELE exam preparation, conversation adn advanced practice, online Spanish courses (AVE Global), and teachers training.
Classes are taught by highly qualified teachers.
We provide a wided variety of courses in the morning, afternoon, evening, and on Saturdays. We also offer private lessons and in-company training.
Classes are conducted in small groups of 5 to 15 students, ensuring ample opportunities to practice spoken Spanish.
Thanks to our commitment to promoting the Spanish language, at Instituto Cervantes you will have free access to lectures, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions, theatre performances, and much more.
Our students also receive a free membership card for our library, which included a wide collection of books, magazines, comiscs, films, and music from Spain and Latin America.
Institutot Cervantes is always based on prime locations and facilities are fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Levels

Courses are offered across 6 levels, from A1 to C2, divided into modules of 30 or 60 hours. This structure follows the Common Europeran Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

tHE cefr aims to ensure greater consistency and transparency amoung EU member countries in the study of foreign languages. It helps promote mobility across member states, facilities the mutual recognition of language certificates, and encourages cooperation between education institutions in different countries

The CEFR defines levels that assess language profiency in terms of communicative competence, productive and receptive skills, as well as linguistic ability for specific purposes.

Prior knowledge of Spanish is no required to enroll in A1 level courses. For all other levels, students must either returning students or pass a placement test.

Complete beginner

At this level, students are able to understand and use very common everyday expressions as well as simple phrases aimed at satisfying immediate needs. They can introduce themselves and others, ask for and provide basic personal information about their address, belongings, and people they know.
They can communicate in a simple way, provided that the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to cooperate.
Classes at this level are conducted in Spanish, with very limited use of English.
It is divided into two modules: A1.1 and A1.2.

Platform

At this level, the student is able to understand phrases and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (basic information about themselves and their family, shopping, places of interest, occupations, etc.). They can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. They can describe in simple terms aspects of their background and their environment, as well as matters related to their immediate needs. It is divided into four blocks: A2.1, A2.2, A2.3, and A2.4.

Threshold

At this level, the student is able to understand the main points of clear, standard language texts dealing with familiar matters regularly encountered in work, study, or leisure situations. They can handle most situations that may arise while traveling in areas where the language is spoken. They are able to produce simple, coherent texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. They can describe experiences, events, wishes, and aspirations, as well as briefly give reasons and explanations for their opinions or plans. It is divided into four blocks: B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, and B1.4.

Advanced

At this level, the student is able to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. They can interact with native speakers with a sufficient degree of fluency and naturalness so that communication occurs without effort for either party. They can produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects and can explain a viewpoint on topical issues, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. It is divided into six blocks: B2.1, B2.2, B2.3, B2.4 ad B2.5.

Command

At this level, the student is able to understand a wide range of longer texts and more demanding material, and to recognize implicit meanings within them. They can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression. They can use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes. They can produce clear, well-structured, and detailed texts on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices. It is divided into six non-sequential blocks, meaning that students may take them in any order they wish: C1.1, C1.2, C1.3, C1.4, C1.5, and C1.6.

Mastery

There is no difficulty in understanding any kind of spoken language and expressing oneself fluently, conveying subtle nuances of meaning with precision. The use of idioms, set phrases, and colloquial expressions in speech is learned. The student is able to write clear, fluent texts in an appropriate style, as well as to read virtually all forms of written language with ease.

Because we care about our students, we always strive to offer the best service at the most affordable price.
Anyone who enrolls in one of our courses at least 2 weeks before the start of the term can benefit from a 10% discount for early bird enrolment.
All discounts can be combined up to a maximum of 25%. It is the responsibility of each student to request the discounts at the time of registration. Once the enrollment has been processed, no discounts can be applied.
